This is not in fact my first attempt at maintaining a blog, but hopefully it will be the longest lasting and the most successful. Really this is just an opportunity to post some pictures and jot some stories until gerry starts up the ‘e-zine ala slate’. Some of you may have had the chance to read my previous incarnation (fluongo.blogspot.com) Which was updated fairly regularly during my time in peru and then took a 9 month hiatus with a final post about buying my chef’s knife (which at the time I mistakenly identified as a cleaver). Well, unlike that knife, I hope my writing skills remain sharp.
At the moment I am at the house of family friends in San Carlos getting everything together in anticipation of the weeks ahead. As most of you know, my parents are moving to Aix-en-provence and tomorrow night I will be flying to paris to join them before I start work on the 14th. I hope that those of you reading this will also let me know what you are up to. Whether it be through comments on the blog or emails (just ask jeff and PJ how good I am about keeping up correspondence), I just want to know what people are up to.
Tomorrow morning I will be driving my parents to the airport at 4am and then heading over to my uncle’s house in Livermore to watch the Euro games, hopefully in high definition. My flight is at 10:30 out of SFO; I spend Wednesday in Philadelphia and then set down in paris on thrusday at 8am. I will try to post as soon as I can, but promise nothing.
