The good news is that my bag has been officially located and is in Paris. The bad news is that I wont have it until tuesday. At that point I will upload some pictures, probably all of them onto a flickr account and a select few up here.
On saturday night was la fête de la musique, which as was explained to me seems to be a sort of national music day where everyone just goes out and supports musicians. Anybody who wants to go outside and play does, and people wander the streets amid broken beer bottles and stumbling teenagers. The cacophony that is la fête de la musique is truly quite remarkable and spans the musical spectrum.

Starting at about 8 o’clock there was a french version of slipknot playing down the street with what seemed like a following of about 10 people (judging from the amount of clapping between sets).
Uploaded video t come soon
Later on that night I ventured out (after watching Russia crush the Dutch en route to the Euro semis; take that Gu!). Amidst drunk french preteens, senior tourists, and everything in between, I tried my best to see what this fête had to offer. Some photos from the night will follow (once I get my damn bag back). Especially for rick, I made it a point to shoot as many lasers as possible. When you see a dude mixing out of the back of his car with two speakers to his side, how can you not respect that? And of course, no debauched outing in france would be complete without a good amount of tektonik (youtube it if you dont know).
